I have been away from this blog for a long time. It is time to remedy that. With so much going on in the world it is time to start being a bit more expressive. Doing that on my other websites is not the appropriate area to vent on things that I have had on my mind for a while.
So stay tuned I am back here in a personal way.

I have been reading the EjectEjectEject.com website for a number of years now and the essays the author Bill Whittle puts together are beyond masterpieces. If you have not read any of the articles on his page you need to prepare for a long evening because once you start you will likely be reading for an extended period.
The articles do not come often but when they do man, he really hits a home run. His latest Seeing the Unseen Part 1 has to be one of his best. [ejectejecteject.com]
I have been having a pretty bad week and deep down I know why. I told a co-worker the other day that I felt like a fist fight with someone would do me good. He kinda laughed but stopped when he realized I was pretty serious. As I have come to grips with my fathers death and all of trauma associated with it I understand that part of the mourning process is anger. I got a bit out of my system yesterday by going to the gym and beating up on a punching bag for about thirty minutes was nice to let the stress go but it was probably better than screaming at someone for no reason.
Deep in my heart I know he is in a better place but man it sure does not make it any easier here. Every person goes through this at some point and I guess I need to be happy that I had 42 wonderful years to know him and build my character from his influence and guidance.
It's kinda weird people ask me all the time how I get everything done that I get done. It's pretty simple I come from a family that knows how to work more than it knows how to play. I am easily frustrated with people who appear or are lazy. I also was raised with the understanding that nothing in this life comes easy generally everything is a challenge. I also realize that at some point this Anger phase will pass but the Irish comes out in me even now and I am still pretty mad about loosing him. I guess thats my way of dealing with it so if you run into me and I give you the stare you better move along quickly :)
Things have been beyond out of control. I was in Vegas in early June to speak to some educators, then I was home a few weeks and then off to Gnomedex for a great weekend. At the same time as Gnomedex we launched our newest flagship social podcasting site called Blubrry at Blubrry.com to top it off I have had college class finals and all of the other craziness that normally accompanies summer.
Anyway all is fun here in Hawaii and I am actually going to take a mini vacation in a few weeks 10 days off or so to unplug and recharge the batteries. Here is a picture of me and a great music artist at Gnomedex. Be sure to check out our new site as well.

A month or so ago Tim Bourquin of TNC Media asked me if I would be willing to be on a panel during Podcast Expo. He asked me to be on the Panel titled "Monetize with Ads and Sponsorship: Use An Advertising Service or Sell Your Own?" being that I have sold my own, and actually run a advertising service for over 500 podcasters this was a good fit. The panel is made up of some other firms that represent podcasters and should be a lively discussion as all of our models are a little different.
This year has been beyond unbelivable with the explosion of Podcasting and everything that I have been involved with this is one of my newest projects that myself and a great team have put together. In fact we started a new company to support the project the company is called Raw Voice which can be found at www.rawvoice.com but you will want to check out the Podcaster News Network their is nothing else like it in exsistence today.
This is a major milestone in one's life and should be cherished but things are happening so fast that I can hardly keep up but I am going to enjoy it while I can.

Today reading a report of a flight from Detroit to Los Angles raised the hair on the back of my neck. I will let you read the article but I will make this point. American Airlines, United Airlines has clear stated policies about congregating in the back of the aircraft. I used to like and stand a lot during flights but have respected the wishes of the airlines and stayed in my seat.
